In May 2023, the Institute was approached by the University for Development studies Gender and mentoring Center to provide technical support in leadership to women in the academia of the university. They justified that the university was only having just two female Associate Professors and were unwilling to participate in university governance including accepting roles and participating in committee meetings. The institute assigned one of its experienced female consultants to provide that need. An evaluation rated the process excellent. About 64 senior staff and members of the UDS women in academia participated in the capacity building session.
